The annual Scientific Conference of Hellenic Medical Students is an event like no other. This year, Greek and international professors, doctors, and medical students gathered in beautiful Thessaloniki to discuss cutting-edge medical topics and present the latest advancements in various fields. My small contribution to this amazing event was a presentation on "Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy" during the Urology round table, representing the University of Patras. I want to extend my gratitude to all the people who made this event possible, but I especially thank our supervisor, Assistant Professor Panagiotis Kallidonis, and my colleagues in this exciting round table.

What a truly amazing experience the "Sports and Education" Program in Ancient Olympia has been! The Center for Hellenic Studies, Harvard University, brought together 44 students from Greek and American Universities for an inspiring 5-day journey right here in the birthplace of the Olympic Games. It was an incredible opportunity to learn from renowned professors, Olympic gold medalists, and accomplished student-athletes. We explored the rich history of the Olympic games, the foundational principles of Olympism, and the profound connection between sport (αθλητισμός) and education (παιδεία). Engaging with experts from a wide array of disciplines, I had the chance to contribute my medical perspective on the interconnectedness between mind and body. This program strongly reinforced that exercising both mind and body is essential for a truly healthy life overall. It's certainly no coincidence that our ancestors emphasized: "Νους υγιής, εν σώματι υγιεί" (a healthy mind lives within a healthy body). Last month, I had the privilege of participating in a clinical observership at the Neurosurgery Department at King's College Hospital in London. I observed fascinating cases, engaged in meaningful discussions, and met some truly amazing people. This experience provided a unique opportunity to deepen my understanding of neurosurgical practices in the United Kingdom and explore the intricacies of patient care and surgical techniques. Thank you Dr. Kailaya-Vasan and Dr. Anagnostou for facilitating this opportunity and making it possible for me to be there. Your generosity and guidance were extremely helpful and important to me.
